When we are worrying about an event in the past or a bill that is due in the future we are living in the past or in the future.
The present is passing us by and we are missing out on our own lives.
Mental chatter can be very distracting and anxiety triggering. Mental chatter maybe happening in the present but the events we are stressing about are often from our past or from a future which may or may not be ours.
Mental chatter happens in our minds and is the creation of our minds. Our fears and anxieties are usually the result of our own imagination of our perception of the past and what the future might hold. How many times did our perception deceit us?
I know mine is often wrong about both the past and the future.
The only truth I know for certain is what is in my present.
