Same as Mental Wellbeing, personal growth is a journey not a destination. There is no ultimate self that we have to achieve.
We are who we are as a result of our genetic composition, our environment, our values, beliefs and past experiences. Our behaviours and reactions are a combination of choices and creative adjustments we have made consciously and unconsciously to adjust to certain situations we have faced in life. We may not be perfect and we may not be proud of certain aspects of ourselves but we are the making of life and the result of life circumstances. With this awareness in mind, we can show love and care for the parts we appreciate in ourselves and show forgiveness for the parts that we don't like very much as one day these same parts served us well by protecting us from the pain brought on by life circumstances.
